Open Source headphone amp recommendations - mtm - 2025-01-01

My Tangara is scheduled to ship in the next day or so, so in preparation I've been getting all my audio doodads organized. My old Schiit Asgard bit the dust and I want to replace it with an open hardware amp (I want to be able to repair/modify it myself.  No go on the Asgard.)  Any one have any suggestions?

Just needs to be analog (I'll worry about a separate DAC later) and able to drive my current headphones:
  • Hifiman Sudara (37 Ω, 94dB)
  • Grado SR80X (38 Ω, 98dB)

The Sudara really benefits from extra drive power.

I may or may not use the amp with the Tangara but I definitely need it with my computer.

Thanks!
