First off, podcasts work great for me
I am on firmware 1.2.2 and have been listening to a variety of podcasts daily on my Tangara; it has been a joy.
If I may share, here's the setup that has worked for me:
- Download episodes with gPodder
- SD card has a folder for each podcast in the root/Podcast/ folder of my SD Card (following the documentation)
- MP3 tags
- Artist: Podcast name
- Album: "Series" / season name
- Title: Title of the episode
I do wonder if there is a better way to sort the episodes on the Tangara itself. Here's where I am at:
- I would like my podcasts to be sorted in a particular order (generally, when they were released)
- By default (thanks to gPodder), the files themselves come prefix with the date which is great. Many of my podcasts also use the MP3 Year tag too.
- I tried setting the MP3 Track Number tag to sort episodes, but this did not seem to translate to the Tangara. The Year tag does not seem to have any effect either.
- The method that consistently works is prefixing the MP3 tag "title". This works well enough, but it is a slight annoyance to have that taking up space on the now playing screen.
My question: Is there a better way to tag the episodes so that way they are sorted by something other than the MP3 Title tag?
