Hey there! I bought a Tangara for my dad to use while he works out. He wants to pair it with his Philips hearing aids.

I can put these devices into pairing mode, and see them and pair with them from multiple devices (Ubuntu Framework laptop, Pixel 9a, etc).

However, these hearing aids don't show up in the list of devices available for pairing on the Tangara.

Any ideas?

Having a look at the chip doco, it might be that the hearing aids used Bluetooth LE v5 advertising for discoverability, which the Tangara's ESP 32 chip doesn't support yet.

Yeah, I followed up to this over email, but it seems audio streaming to hearing aids requires the (relatively new) LE Audio protocol, which the ESP32 doesn't support.  This video has a pretty good explanation of LE Audio as it relates to hearing aids, if you're curious. Unfortunately, even if they properly paired, we only support audio over Bluetooth Classic with the current hardware.
