Changing long press up/down to scroll to next letter?

I've been getting to grips with the controls today. Love the long presses to scroll faster up or down but I have ~13k tracks and getting to specific artists by scrolling is a little time consuming sometimes...! Would it be possible to modify the firmware so a long press skips to the next letter of the alphabet? And how would I go about doing this? (I'm a baby coder, I can wrangle html/css and very basic Python and thats about it
