Crowdsupply won't accept returns, any suggestions?

I just got the Tangara as a gift for a relative after many months of waiting, but unfortunately it is just not going to work with the library size he has - nearly 1.5TB, and at that size the device is so slow and difficult to navigate that it is unusable for him. There's nothing wrong with it, and I'm sure it would work great for anybody with a smaller library, but with that many files on it it just freezes and the touchwheel navigation is kind of unusable for scrolling through hundreds of thousands of tracks.

The sound quality is great and if we load just one playlist on it it works just fine, but we were looking for something that would hold the whole library. It's packed in its original packaging, but Crowdsupply will not accept any returns. I will try to sell on eBay if nobody has a better suggestion, but since this had a waiting list for purchases I'm wondering if there's a better way to find somebody who wants one? I'd be happy to pay for shipping and will sell to somebody for the price I paid for it minus 10% since it's technically 'used' now (the only thing we did with it is charge it once, stick an SD card in the slot, and try to navigate playlists a couple times before realizing it was just not going to work). Any ideas? Thank you for your help

I imagine you'll find interested parties on this forum, now that Tangara sales are on hold!
