So I was hoping to upgrade to the latest firmware today. Here's a somewhat rough sequence of events:
1. Plugged device in, opened Tangara Companion app. The app couldn't find the device.
2. After trying a few things, I eventually reboot my computer. This seems to fix the connectivity issue, and the App can see the device now.
3. I click firmware update, select the new shiny 1.4.1 firmware file, and push the go button.
4. Update immediately fails with a connection error at 0% (I wish I had thought to grab a screenshot)
5. I try again, same outcome.
6. I click on the device tab and the companion app says it can't find the device.
At this point I begin the holy ritual of unplugging it, trying different USB ports, etc. I look up the hard reset sequence and try that many times. So far, nothing has worked. Screen is black, no vibration or the like when I turn it on.
That said, my computer does see something when I plug it in.
The companion app sees something, tries to communicate with it and then fails:
At this point, I'm wondering what I can do. Any esoteric tricks to try? I'm thinking of trying some of the more advanced flashing techniques listed on the website, but wanted to confer here before I muddied the water any more.
