Hmm, I’m not very familiar with both the Tangara’s battery charging hardware or with the SAMD21 firmware that interfaces with it, but from what I can see the the battery charger seems to be only able to enter the fault state when either it or the battery overheats or when it detects that charging is taking abnormally long time to finish. In the first case it should resume charging once the temperature decreases enough, but in the second case the data sheet seems to suggest that it will remain in the fault state until the battery is disconnected, so I guess you might want to try doing that. Also note that the battery status screen in the settings doesn’t refresh automatically and you need to exit and enter it again if you want to see if the charging state has changed.
