Install flatpak companion app on debian - is there a howto?

I tried the following:

Code:
sudo apt install flatpak
flatpak remote-add --user --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Platform/x86_64/47
flatpak install ~/Downloads/tangaracompanion-v0.4.3-linux-x86_64.flatpak

and the last command gives me the following error:

Code:
error: The application zone.cooltech.tangara.Companion/x86_64/stable requires the runtime org.gnome.Platform/x86_64/47 which was not found

If I run `flatpak install flathub org.gnome.Platform/x86_64/47` again I get:

Code:
Looking for matches…
Skipping: org.gnome.Platform/x86_64/47 is already installed

I've never used flatpak before so I'm probably missing something obvious - does anybody have any ideas?

I thought maybe the above was because I was on an old version of debian so I decided to leave it until I upgraded to the latest. I've finally got around to doing that and I still get the same message as above except now I also see the following message:

Code:
Info: (pinned) runtime org.gnome.Platform branch 47 is end-of-life, with reason:
The GNOME 47 runtime is no longer supported as of October 15, 2025. Please ask your application developer to migrate to a supported platform.

So I am still unable to install the companion. If anybody has any ideas how to solve it, I would be very grateful.
