First some background: I love my tangara and carry it everywhere.
Carrying it everywhere plus my innate clumsiness means I've dropped it a bunch. After the most recent drop the volume up button is stuck on. I partially disassembled it (I couldn't get one of the back screws out, but I think I've caused some internal structural damage there from dropping it a bunch of times, so that's probably par for the course), and found that it's the switch itself that's stuck in (and not something like debris blocking the plastic button). I rubbed it with some alcohol and tried to push it in with my screw driver to see if it would unstuck, but it didn't.
Is there some other method or technique I should try? Or is my best bet trying to replace the switch / taking it to my local electronics repair folks?
I bought them with 0.76 USD/PCS on Digi-Key one year ago.
You'd better choose one that allows buying individually, otherwise you'll need to buy at least 200 units, which would be too expensive.
Wish you can fix your tangara soon.
