May have accidentally bricked during firmware update
#7
Last week I accidentally bricked my Tangara while flashing firmware v1.3.0 when my Tangara disconnected when I wiggled the USB-C plug of the cable being used (which I usually don't use).  My Tangara's screen remained turned off while on battery power, even though the switch was in the unlocked position.  Using a hard reset won't work, and also plugging Tangara into wall power also didn't turn on the screen.

However, Tangara was still detected through my desktop with the Espressif esptool.js method, as described in the flashing firmware page.  In the heat of the moment, following the screenshots was a bit confusing, but I still managed to get the instructions to work.

I wanted to share this, in case anyone else who might end up in the same situation as me.  This is for those who are used to choosing the Tangara Companion and haven't used CLI methods to flash Tangara before.
