Battery charging issue
#1
My Tangara doesn't want to charge past 50% (the Power info constantly shows it as charging), in either rapid or slow charge mode. Any chance this sounds familiar to anyone? Or any suggestions for things to dig into? The 50% seems pretty suspicious. It tends to sit right at 49-50% when plugged in.

Hi! Very sorry that your device has yet another issue, this is very bad luck.

To clarify, have you been using the device and it will charge itself up to but not over 50%? Or are you yet to observe it charging at all? Also, what voltage is reported on the 'power' screen in settings?

Our batch 1 production PCBs had a very small number of mainboards with some as-yet-unidentified fault in the PCB itself that leaves charging permanently broken. We tested for this fault on all the units we sent out, but it's very possible that a faulty mainboard made it past us.

No worries at all!

When I looked at it 5 minutes ago, I saw 42%/3.76V/discharging and 40%/3.75V/discharging. I plugged it in and saw 42%/3.76V/charge_fast, but it then bounced between 42% and 39% while still in charge_fast.

So, it sounds like maybe it is just unable to charge and I just didn't notice until it was at 50%.

Yeah okay, definitely sounds like a faulty charger then. Sorry about that! If you email support@cooltech.zone we'll sort you out with a replacement mainboard.

Yeah, confirmed it too with swapping in the other unit's main board. Thanks for your help!

I think mine might be having the same issue. The percentage will go up a little sometimes, but never significantly. It usually goes back down soon after. I've left it plugged in for hours and it doesn't seem to make any real progress.
