Planned features?
#1
Is there a "planned feature" list?  I just got mine in the mail, and while I do like it.  I have a couple things that I wish could be better, and if they are not planned, I will try and figure out how to do them in a fork, because that's like the coolest thing about this little gizmo.
  • Back button needs to be wider.  Hard to notice when it's selected
  • Scroll wheel needs more acceleration.  Like, after every two seconds of scrolling, go faster and faster based on how long the list is Long press Top/bottom, although, maybe still do this too. Pretty reliably crashes on 1.1.2 though
  • Volume up/down needs acceleration too, probably not as fast
  • Some kind of gesture to hit the back button instead of having to scroll to the top of my massive artist list (like double tap right for now playing) Hold left, got it!
  • Auto dim screen after X minutes.  Turn off after X+Y and reawaken on any activity.
  • Remember scroll position
  • Doesn't find my ancient Jambox  Sad

You're looking for the issue tracker. Smile

I've heard enough other people talking about dimming to know that one's on there, but I don't know off hand which of the rest are.

There's an open pull request for this, but it sort of stalled.  There was some interest on Mastodon today, too...

I don't think there's an issue for this yet (feel free!) but I'd love it, too.  With a large library, it can take a long time to scroll to a particular item, and there are too many ways to accidentally navigate elsewhere and lose that progress.

Hiya! The issue tracker is the best place to yell about stuff you care about, yeah! We're a bit short on spare dev time lately so any sense of roadmap is highly aspirational Smile. Our main focus right now is fixing up any particularly egregious crashes / indexing issues / missing quality-of-life features that folks are bringing to our attention.

Once we get through the initial wave of people's issues, we'll probably start thinking more concretely about a longer term roadmap for the firmware. Accessibility improvements will likely be top priority, then maybe either Bluetooth improvements or disk I/O performance improvements.
