external antenna

Hello,

I've recently received my Tangara and am very pleased with the current state of the project. One of the main downsides right now is the lack of bluetooth stability. I've tried in busy areas, city and subway, as well as country side, and the connection is often very shaky. I get audio drop-outs when the Tangara is in my pocket and am walking around. The drops are not constant, but I can reproduce them when I cover the device with my hand or when I move my head the other way.
With a few friends we opened it up to have a look inside and noticed it uses the built in antenna. Has anyone done some tests by adding an external antenna? Did it improve the reception? If so, could you link the one used?
As it stands bluetooth is usable, but not really. When I keep the Tangara in a banana bag across my chest I can listen drop-out free, but in my pocket it's very hit and miss. I think I'll try to boost the ESP_PWR_LVL_P9 to one or two higher but I'm a bit worried on how that will impact battery life.

Anyway, does anyone have tips or tricks?

Thanks in advance!
