which memory cards are working for people?
#17
I just got my Tangara and was eager to try it out. The only SD cards I had on hand were a couple of Eastbull 2 GB cards. I had needed 2 GB capacity for another device, so I picked up a bunch from the only company I could find that offered that low of capacity.

They came formatted as FAT16, I put one in my laptop SD reader and copied over some ogg files. Put the card in Tangara and initially it seemed ok. It said indexing and then I tried playing a track. No sound. Did a hard reset and then Tangara said 'SD Card is not inserted or could not be opened.'

Took out the card, put it back in laptop, formatted it as FAT32. Copied some ogg files plus some 24/96 flac files and put it back in Tangara. This time all is well as far as I can tell, including the 24/96 flac files.

Is there a known problem with FAT16?
