I've got a set of wired headphones with volume controls on the cable, but when I press those controls they don't adjust Tangara's volume. Is that a hardware limitation of the minijack receptacle used by the Tangara hardware, or is it something that could in theory be added as a feature in firmware later on?

Behold my dodgy solution! Also handy if you want to use Tangara as a video game soundtrack but still get the ingame sound effects.

Oh yeah, I looked at those but I ended up with a fully passive mixer as I've got active speakers in my study. I like the flexibility of the Douk though; it's pretty good being able to run it optionally active.

I think the best solution is probably an inline passive attenuator like this:



If your headphones don't support it (e.g. earbuds) you can use a gender bender. I've got one of these in my tangara case and it works really well. There's no impact on sound quality, but you do need to set the tangara volume a bit higher than usual.
