Case Customisation and Themes

New update on the crowd supply page: https://www.crowdsupply.com/cool-tech-zo...e-your-way

In this one we talk about the polycarb cases, Erin's improvements for case machining, and I'm really excited to show off what I've been working on with themes. Big Grin

Honestly can't wait until people start making cool gay themes for it Big Grin Long term I want to make it easy to load themes from the SD card and be able to switch between them from the on device settings.

im excited to check out some of the high contrast themes! my eyes arent so great, and im sure high contrast can look good! im guessing either there will be tangara-dedicated wiki/help, or a reference page for the LVGL stuff, for what the different tags mean and how we can tweak them?
id love to have a matching tumblr/tangara theme!!
This thing all things devours...

We're got a (somewhat shonkily formatted) API reference for the LVGL lua bindings here: https://cooltech.zone/tangara/docs/lua/#lvgl

Mostly though you really can just follow the LVGL docs, which are quite good: https://docs.lvgl.io/8.3/overview/style.html https://docs.lvgl.io/8.3/overview/style-props.html

I eagerly await the results, I miss the age of translucent plastic devices so bad. I was originally thinking of doing like some squiggles or splatters on the inside of the case and then a layer of bg color over that so it shows mistily through the plastic but if i could dye it a nice bright green... or maybe an ombre dye job!! the possiblities...

Update: It dyes up beautifully. Each half was submerged in iDye Poly Violet for one minute. Was really easy to do, didn't smell great tho.

I've been reading about dyeing plastic (mostly from bjd people) and I think I'm gonna try to make it half green half pink with some gradient to it, it's gonna look sick.
